The State Social Insurance Agency (SSIA) will resume face to face customer service from 10 June. In the effort to take the precautionary measures, service will be organised according to pre-booked appointments. Bookings may be made by calling on the phone or via e-mail to the relevant division, which is to be visited.
Since not all SSIA customer service centres are located on sufficiently spacious waiting rooms, customers are asked to arrive precisely at the specified time and enter the customer service hall upon invitation only. The SSIA asks the customers, while on the premises of the customer service centres, to comply with the distance, use their masks and personal writing tools. The SSIA asks the persons of risk group and visitors with any signs of respiratory diseases to refrain from visits.
During the period of emergency situation, customers of the SSIA used the option to apply for the services electronically and by sending submissions by post – 98.1% of all submissions were received via those channels in April, 97.7% – in May. The remaining customers used the mail boxes arranged on the premises of the SSIA, as well as the municipal customer service centres.
The SSIA asks its customers to keep applying for the services of the SSIA also after the end of the emergency situation by using E-application on the SSIA website or Application to institution on the website latvija.lv. Applications may be sent to the SSIA also by post, addressing them to any SSIA division, or, during the business hours from 8.30 to 17.00, to leave applications in the mail boxes arranged on the premises of the SSIA divisions.
