Recalculation of old-age and disability pensions in the event of top-up contributions
From 1 July 2023, the procedure for recalculating the old-age pension and Group I and Group II disability pensions for social insurance contributions made after the pension was granted (recalculated) will change. The pension recalculation part will be added to the calculated (recalculated) pension amount instead of the minimum amount, as was the case until 30 June 2023.
Example. A person with a total insurance period of 22 years and 3 months is granted an old-age pension from 5 July 2023.
The pension is calculated at EUR 140.00. The minimum amount for 22 years of service is EUR 194.68, so the person has a pension of EUR 194.68.
From 1 September 2023, a pension recalculation is requested for the pension capital accumulated in July and August. The pension recalculation component is EUR 2 and the recalculated pension is EUR 142 (140+2). As the recalculated amount is lower than the minimum amount, the person continues to receive a pension of EUR 194.68.
