The State Social Insurance Agency (SSIA) shall take a set of measures to protect socially insured persons and their dependants in social risk situations where they lose their employment income, as well as in cases where expenses arising from the birth and parenting of a child or in the event of the death of a person are increasing.
Social insurance is a key part of the national social security system and covers the following social risks:
birth and parenting of a child. .
- sickness
- disability
- age
- unemployment
- death
- accidents at work and occupational diseases
The SSIA shall ensure:
administration of the State Social Insurance Special Budget. .
- the maintenance of a social security database containing data on socially insured persons, their periods of insurance (seniority and equivalent) and social security contributions;
- the granting and payment of State social insurance pensions, benefits, remuneration (together - social insurance services);
